Scopely expands MONOPOLY GO! with its first-ever Pets Season, partnering with ASPCA® and RSPCA to support animal wellbeing

February 4 – Scopely, the global video game company, today launched the first-ever Pets Season within its blockbuster mobile game MONOPOLY GO!, transforming the game’s universe into a celebration of furry, feathery, and scaly companions.

The season turns passing GO into real-world support for animal welfare organizations through the Play with Purpose global community challenge, while spotlighting the vital role of play and enrichment in animal wellbeing. Pets Season runs from February 4–April 7, while the Play with Purpose challenge is available from February 4–March 4.

How MONOPOLY GO! Players Unlock Real-World Impact
From now through March 4, Pets Season invites MONOPOLY GO! players (known as “Tycoons”) to collectively pass GO more than 5 million times as part of the Play with Purpose challenge. Reaching this milestone unlocks an increased donation to leading animal welfare charities, including the ASPCA® in the United States and the RSPCA in England and Wales.

As a reward for participating, all players who pass the GO! Tile at least once will earn a custom cat-themed Shield, a purr-fect prize for feline lovers everywhere.

How Play Positively Impacts Shelter Animals
Proceeds unlocked through the Play with Purpose challenge help support animal enrichment and recovery programs operated by the ASPCA and the RSPCA. Both organizations rely on play to help animals heal and prepare for adoption.

A Community-Driven Season, Featuring Real Player Pets
In a first for the game, Pets Season introduces a community sticker set inspired by real pets belonging to MONOPOLY GO! players. More than 12,000 pets were submitted by fans through the game’s dedicated Discord community, which has more than 1 million members. Nine lucky winners were selected to have their pets featured in-game and transformed into a beautiful sticker designed in MONOPOLY GO!’s signature art style.

Featured pets include:
Bryan, a white-crested duck and the sidekick of Bryte from Alpharetta, Georgia
Stella, a chinchilla with a big personality from Huntsville, Ohio
Rum, a handsome horse from the U.K. whose owners–a mom and daughter–are avid MONOPOLY GO! players

New Characters & Experiences for Pets Season
At the heart of Pets Season is Scottie, Mr. Monopoly’s loyal sidekick, stepping into the spotlight for his biggest moment yet. Joining Scottie is a vibrant cast of new “Posh Pets,” including Duke, an aristocratic cat, and Pip, a zen parrot—each bringing bold personalities, humor, and charm to the season.

Pets Season also brings a brand new innovation to MONOPOLY GO!: Style Tokens and Accessories, allowing players to personalize their look as they progress through the game.

Players will discover a wide range of new and limited-time in-game experiences throughout Pets Season, including:

- A host of fan-favorite mini-games
- New boards to explore, from St. Tropetz to Dogopolis
