Two colleagues from the Scopely ecosystem took home honors at the inaugural
GamesBeat BOSS Mode Awards at the GamesBeat Summit 2026 in Los Angeles.
The awards recognize standout women leaders who are driving the future of games, entertainment, media and technology.
Scopely COO Eunice Lee won the BOSS Mode Woman of the Year award, honoring a woman who has significantly influenced the industry over the past year.
In her acceptance speech, Lee talked about growing into the responsibility to lift others up as her career progressed.
"I came to understand that although I want to be seen as a great leader — full stop, not a 'female' leader — I also have a responsibility to help other women in the industry and help others that are less visible become more visible for what they contribute," Lee said. "This has become a great source of joy."
Lee also credited Scopely's internal mentorship program for inspiring her to take a more forward approach to leadership.
"I've participated in (the mentorship program) for three years, and I can't tell you how much inspiration it gives me," Lee said. "It's given me everything. And it's really made me want to care more deeply about empowering the next generation of women at Scopely, to become the industry leaders we desperately need."
To close out her speech, Lee thanked colleagues and mentors, along with her mother, whom she says has been a powerful source of inspiration throughout her journey.
“I have to say, my mother, yes my mother, was the most badass boss woman in my life," Lee said. "Also the most annoying woman — and yes, they can both be true — but she showed me what it meant to work hard, defy expectations around her, to sacrifice for her loved ones and be someone to be reckoned with. So I hope to do just a sliver of what she did for me for others around me and support this industry that I so love and have spent decades in.”
