San Diego Comic-Con was once again home to one of the biggest celebrations of fandom in the world, and
Scopely brought the fun to fans in more ways than one.
Nearly
2,000 fans stopped by the Star Trek Fleet Command Immersive Experience on Sinclair Street, where an activation in celebration of Star Trek’s 60th anniversary invited fans into a curated archive of Star Trek memorabilia, props and more.
The activation also featured a Holodeck VR experience, themed photo moments, exclusive swag, interactive claw machines with Star Trek prizes, and a souvenir photo station where guests chose their faction and took home a personalized Star Trek-themed card. In all, more than 1,500 custom cards were given away, and by the end of the weekend, the claw machine had given out all 800 of its prizes. More than 100 members of the Star Trek Fleet Command community also took part in a meet-and-greet event Saturday night, and 58 hotels in and around the San Diego area featured Star Trek Fleet Command art on their hotel keycards.
