Celebrating a fantastic partnership with MrBeast and our first-ever presence at Gamescom within the spectacular Xbox booth, we'd like to give a big shout-out to the talented team behind "Stumble Guys."
Meet Konrad, the senior product manager for "Stumble Guys." With three years at Scopely, Konrad works closely with our LiveOps team to keep the game consistently fun and fresh by ensuring there's always something new to explore and discover in the "Stumbleverse.”
Say "hello" to Konrad.
Tell us a little about yourself and your journey at Scopely. My name is Konrad Dobrowolski, and I'm a senior product manager on "Stumble Guys" working remotely from Los Angeles. I work closely with the liveops team to ensure "Stumble Guys" always stays up to date with fun things to do. I've been at Scopely for about three years now and have been loving every minute of it.
What are you currently working on and how does your work impact the company?Recently, I've been working with the team on making sure that MrBeast makes his way to the "Stumble Guys" universe so that players can experience all the exciting new MrBeast content in the game. It's been an amazing experience collaborating with everyone on this massive addition to "Stumble Guys," and it's taught me a lot about what more we can do in the future.
What does diversity in gaming mean to you?A lot of games, "Stumble Guys" included, get to create these big and amazing worlds where anything is possible. I think these worlds wouldn't be anywhere near as exciting if we didn't have so many different experiences and viewpoints contributing to building them. Not only does diversity help us create these worlds where players can play how they want to, but it also helps create some of the best and most creative games ever made.
Which Scopely culture tenet resonates most with you?EMBRACE THE ADVENTURE. My favorite Scopely tenet is definitely "Embrace the adventure." Working in liveops, I absolutely love that each day will be completely different from the last with its own set of unique challenges. Plus, working in the gaming industry is a dream come true for me so the adventure will always be one of the most exciting parts of it all. I'm super excited to be on this journey with "Stumble Guys" and the whole team.
What is the best piece of advice you have received? The best piece of advice I've ever gotten is a straightforward piece of advice, and that is: "Don't be afraid to try new things." Not only do I think that this helps so much in day-to-day life (I wouldn't be at Scopely if I was afraid to try new things), but I also think that, as a product manager, you have to be comfortable in tactfully implementing new ideas and strategies to help grow your product. Worst case scenario, things don't go as planned, and you learn from your mistakes; and best case scenario, you help transform your product or game into something super special and innovative.
What was the last good book you read?Recently I've been reading through "A Series of Unfortunate Events" again. I've loved these books so much since I was a kid, and I never revisited them until now. Lemony Snicket really created a story that manages to be dark, funny, and captivating all at the same time.
