Hispanic and LatinX Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) honors the cultures and contributions of those within the LatinX and Hispanic communities. To commemorate this significant time, we are celebrating the talented members within the Hispanic and LatinX community here at Scopely and elevating their voices.
Say "hello" to Carlos.
Tell us a little about yourself and your journey at Scopely.
I'm Carlos de Anda, and I'm an associate producer for "MARVEL Strike Force." I've been at Scopely for four years and I work in the Culver City hub.
What are you currently working on and how does your work impact the company?
I'm currently working on the art character side of "MARVEL Strike Force." All my life, I've been passionate about three things: comic books, video games and art. This role allows me to work on what I love every single day, while contributing to a community that loves and cherishes the same properties I do.
What does diversity in gaming mean to you?
Diversity in games for me means the coming together of the many voices that the world has, the celebration of the things we have in common, and our passion for the creation of experiences that we love.
Which Scopely culture tenet resonates most with you?
CARE DEEPLY. Caring for others and what we do is what pushes us forward. It brings us together as a community and makes us stand strong.
What advice would you give to someone working in your field?
I would advise someone in my field to care for what you do and always know how to present yourself and what you are capable of. Don't be afraid of really showing how much you can achieve.
What's the last good movie or show you watched?
The last good show I watched was “One Piece” on Netflix. I'm a huge fan of anime, and watching one of the greatest anime of all time translated to live action with such passion and dedication and care for the source material is a delight.
