GO! Friends Creator Fund debuted on Tuesday, kicking off a slate of original mobile-first content that will give creators the freedom to explore friendship, competition and the emotional rollercoaster inherent to MONOPOLY GO!
Moving beyond the traditional influencer brief, the program invites creators to pitch original concepts rooted in friendship. MONOPOLY GO! provides the funding and creative partnership to bring those ideas to life, giving creators the freedom to shape the storytelling in their own voices, formats and styles.
“We believe in providing creators with freedom to explore the themes of friendship in their own voice and format, while staying true to what works for their audience,” said
Jamie Berger, Senior Vice President of Marketing for MONOPOLY GO! at Scopely. “Our goal is to move beyond one-off, transactional partnerships and build original entertainment alongside creators, and we’re excited to welcome more of them into the MONOPOLY GO! universe.”
“The GO! Friends Creator Fund is our bet on redefining branded content with genuine entertainment that audiences will keep coming back to watch,” said
Grace Hoy, Director of Social Marketing for MONOPOLY GO! “Over the past few years, our influencer relationships have grown into real creative collaborations. Friendship is at the heart of MONOPOLY GO!, and nobody tells those stories better than creators. We’re excited to debut new series and formats across MONOPOLY GO!’s
YouTube,
Instagram, and
TikTok.”
The first round, which runs through November, brings together filmmakers, comedians and social creators, including
Leenda Dong,
Symonne Harrison,
Full Squad,
Stro Galang To, and
Bianca Roth and
Camille Mejia.
“Seeing Scopely invest in creators and their ideas made us excited about what we could build together,” Mejia said. “Working with the team was such a fun, collaborative experience, with space to bring our own sense of humor and storytelling to MONOPOLY GO! There’s something incredibly fulfilling about seeing our idea come to life, and I’m honored to be part of the inaugural GO! Friends Creator Fund series.”
“What makes this partnership so special is the trust (Scopely) places in creators, giving us the freedom to bring our ideas to life while supporting us every step of the way," Roth said. "It’s inspiring to see a company genuinely invest in original storytelling and empower creators to do what they do best.”
“Brands have a hard time seeing creators’ vision which leads to creative restrictions. This was anything but that,” Harrison added. “I’ve never partnered with a brand who gave me so much creative freedom and wanted to support my ambitions like they did.”
For Scopely, the program is an investment in both creative experimentation and lasting creator relationships for MONOPOLY GO! into the future.
