At Scopely, we believe that play is for everyone, and that accessibility and representation are not just principles of design but reflections of the communities that bring our worlds to life.
We are honored to be recognized at this year’s Game Accessibility Conference (GAConf) Awards, where Scopely is a finalist in two categories:
- Stumble Guys for Best Representation, celebrating the Axel wheelchair skin, a powerful example of inclusive design and player connection.
- Tülay McNally for MVP Award for Unsung Hero, honoring her tireless work to make our games more accessible and our player experiences more inclusive.
Representation That Resonates
The Axel skin began from a simple but meaningful idea: everyone should be able to see themselves in the games they love. Designed as part of Stumble Guys’ ongoing commitment to inclusion, the skin quickly became a symbol of belonging, embraced by players who saw their stories, identities, and experiences reflected on screen.
That impact came to life through Fayçal, one of the many incredible players who remind us why representation matters. In our Player Portrait video, Fayçal shared how Stumble Guys offers him freedom, fun, and friendship, and how seeing the Axel skin for the first time made him feel truly seen. The GAConf nomination for Best Representation is a tribute not only to our design teams but also to players like Fayçal who inspire us every day.
We are equally proud to see Tülay McNally, Scopely's Sr. Director of Inclusive Design, recognized as a finalist for MVP Award for Unsung Hero. Her dedication and advocacy have helped embed accessibility deeper into how we think, build, and support our global player community.
Tülay’s work exemplifies Scopely’s belief that accessibility starts from within, with the people who challenge conventions, push for better experiences, and ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, can share in the joy of play.
Being recognized in two categories at the GAConf Awards is an incredible honor that belongs to every Scopely team member and player who continues to champion accessibility, representation, and inclusion across our worlds.
Public voting is open through November 30, and you can explore all finalists here: https://www.gaconf.com/gaconf-awards-2025/
To our teams, our players, and our partners in the accessibility community, thank you. Together, we will keep building experiences where everyone can play, connect, and belong.
